This is a piece I created for the opening (and ending) theme of one of my favorite podcasts called “On the Road – Conversations with Tuvi Pollack”. It is a political podcast in Hebrew, which features fascinating guests discussing political issues in Israel and the Middle East.

 
When I spoke to Tuvi about recording music for his podcast, he was quite hesitant, saying that he wanted some Pearl Jam style theme. Being a Pearl Jam fan myself, I said “let me give it a go”, and sent him some sketches, which eventually, after a lot of creative back and forth, turned into this piece.

 

It was amazing working with Tuvi, who although didn’t always know the exact musical terms, had a very good intuition about what he wanted, and would explain it quite accurately, using concrete examples and references.
