Rebel Sun Sessions
The Rebel Sun Sessions: Raw Early Hip-Hop Productions
These beats represent a very specific time in my life, created before I went to Berklee or had any formal training in music production. They were made in a makeshift studio – essentially a living room with a laptop – and while the production is raw, that unpolished energy is exactly what gives them their charm.
I shared these early tracks with the Israeli-based rapper Rebel Sun, who came over to freestyle and lay down vocals. He even brought along Gil “FlyBoy,” who recorded the opening verse on “Mommy.” It was a pure exercise in collaborative hip-hop production and creative spontaneity.
You can listen to the three tracks from these sessions below. They are a reminder that sometimes, vibe and collaboration are just as important as the gear you’re using.
Technical Roles: Music Production, Beat Making, Collaborative Songwriting.
Track 1: Mommy (ft. Rebel Sun & Gil Flyboy)
Track 2: Cantaloupe (ft. Rebel Sun)
Track 3: Love Pack (ft. Rebel Sun)
