Game Music
Mojo Kid: The Intersection of Sound, Logic, and Gameplay
I am Mojo Kid (or Yinon Kuperstein, to my parents). My journey with music began over twenty years ago, but my obsession with gaming goes back even further. Growing up in the 80s, I lived through every major shift in the industry – from the early days of Atari and Nintendo to the modern era of Xbox, PC, and mobile development.
Eventually, I realized my true passion lay at the intersection of these two worlds. Looking back at my early compositions, it became clear: I had been writing game music all along, even before I had a name for it. Today, I dedicate my studio to creating immersive, interactive audio that doesn’t just play in the background but lives within the game’s mechanics.
My portfolio includes a diverse range of projects:
- Snails: A personal project and a game I built and scored from the ground up.
- Trailers & Commercials: High-impact sound design for titles like Stray and ads like Bittersweet.
- Redesigns: Modern audio remakes for classics like Double Dragon.
- Film Scoring: Atmospheric soundtracks for productions like Go Ugly Early.
Education and Technical Specialization
I specialize in Adaptive Music and Unity implementation. Beyond my studio work, I am passionate about teaching the next generation of audio professionals. I lecture on adaptive music systems at leading Israeli institutions, including Kinneret Academic College and Sapir Academic College.
You can explore my lectures and presentations, or watch an 8-hour live stream where I develop a game from scratch, including the full adaptive music implementation process.
Let’s build a unique soundscape for your project.
Whether you need adaptive systems, bespoke sound design, or just want to discuss game audio, I’m always open to new collaborations.
