Epoch 2: Melodic Inversions and Dark Indie Atmosphere
Epoch 2 continues the exploration of a musical trilogy centered on chord inversions. In this movement, I focused on deconstructing these harmonic structures to extract unique melodic themes, creating a soundscape that feels both calculated and ethereal.
As with the first installment, the music was tailored for a dark, point-and-click indie game featuring a surreal conflict where animals attempt to conquer the moon. To match this nocturnal aesthetic, I developed a set of custom-synthesized sounds designed to evoke a sense of mystery and cosmic tension.
The result is an atmospheric game soundtrack that relies on technical harmonic theory to drive its emotional weight. You can listen to the second chapter of the trilogy below.
