Epoch 1: Advanced Harmonic Theory in Indie Game Soundtracks
This piece is the first installment of a short trilogy focused on the interplay between chord inversions and melodic development. My goal was to take complex harmonic structures, break them down, and rebuild them into cohesive musical themes for a darker narrative.
The project was originally envisioned for a dark point-and-click indie game with a unique premise: various animal factions attempting to take over the moon. To capture this nocturnal, surreal atmosphere, I stayed away from library presets and instead used custom sound synthesis to create a palette specifically for this world.
The result is a track that feels both structural and atmospheric, bridging the gap between technical theory and immersive game sound design.
Technical Roles: Music Composition, Advanced Harmonic Theory, Custom Sound Synthesis.
