I started working on my debut album, Waiting, when I was working on my 8-hour live feed on Facebook. I thought in advance about the fact that I may need to go to eat at some point, and didn’t want to stop the feed. I then created a wait page, with a timer that receives a URL parameter that can be inserted dynamically.

 

The logo is animated (the “Mojo Kid” character opens his mouth) according to the timer, and the design was made according to the general design of the website. I was pretty happy with it, but thought it needed some background music.

 

I then sat down and started writing and producing the background music for the wait screen, keeping in mind that I might need some more time so I can eat and relax a bit. When the music reached 26 minutes, I decided that was enough, and before I knew it – I had a whole album ready! A short album, but an album nonetheless, and considering the short attention span nowadays, I figured it could still adhere to the general format.

 

My 2020 album, Waiting, is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon, Google Play, and of course, can be listened to via the wait screen.
