This piece is a great example of how a good sound designer can create almost any sound using his tools. The “Mothership Scene” started as a soundtrack for a short animated movie. The whole soundtrack was synthesized from scratch, without using any samples.

 
The movie (which never came out) starts with a mothership descending towards the earth. It then sends out a probe which goes down slowly and lands on Earth.

 
In the next scene, you see a beautiful serene forest with a waterfall and birds, and then the camera focuses on the probe which is resting near a tree. Two aliens come out and start talking and looking around.

 
All of a sudden, helicopters come out of nowhere, then fighter jets and policeman with sirens. The aliens don’t really understand what happening, but before they get the chance to figure it out, a DJ comes and starts a party. Everyone joins in, including the cops, and they all dance. The aliens even sing as the picture fades out.
