ALL Orchestral Electronic Acoustic 8Bit Sound Remakes Non-Game My Music

Where is My Date

This game was developed in the 2015 Global Game Jam in Tel Aviv, which means that the team only had 24 hours to come up with an idea, develop and design the whole thing. I wrote and produced the music and was also in charge of the sound design for the game.

The Global Game Jam is a pretty frantic event (especially in Israel, where for some reason it is even shorter than in the rest of the world), and when I get there I usually set up a table with my equipment, try to get into as many teams as possible, and then I just sit there and wait for crazed developers to rush in, giving me some vague ideas and expecting me to understand what they mean by that.

This time, however, was a bit different. The game producer, Omri Arad, knew exactly what he wanted. He was very calm about it, and explained the concept of the game. It was a homage to the classic “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego”, only it took place in modern times Tel Aviv, and the goal was to find the perfect girl from a dating app using clues that required knowledge about the city. It was pretty smart, and for some reason I decided to add a hiphop twist to it. Omry really liked it and even let me participate in the actual game as one of the clue-giving characters.
