ALL Orchestral Electronic Acoustic 8Bit Sound Remakes Non-Game My Music

Caribbean Demo

One of the things I like the most about game developer conferences is that you get to speak to game developers from very different backgrounds. One day in one of those events I bumped into an indie game developer who was very influenced by the old LucasArts point and click games, and particularly Monkey Island. As soon as he said this name I froze, and felt my heart about to explode. There is no way to describe how I feel about these games, and especially the music. I was literally addicted to it. I clearly remember times when I just HAD to listen to the soundtrack (by Michael Land, who is a true genius in my opinion).

I spoke to the game developer for a while, and although he was impressed by my passion, he was already working with another, very talented musician. I convinced him to let me send him a short demo, and although he made it very clear that he could not work with anybody else on this game, I decided I was going to send him a demo. When I got back home I wrote and recorded all the instruments in my living room and created this short piece of music. I sent it to him and, as expected, he couldn’t get out of his prior engagement. Either way I think this tune turned out really nice, but listen and judge for yourselves 🙂
